In 2015, I began supporting educational initiatives in the village of Cocolá Grande, Huehuetenango, Guatemala, through my technology company, XumaK. Together with local leaders, we helped establish the community's first middle school, followed by a high school two years later—giving hundreds of students the opportunity to continue their education close to home.

As we witnessed the lasting impact education could have on an entire community, it became clear that this work could reach far beyond a single company. Café con Causa grew out of those early initiatives as a social enterprise where every purchase helps create new educational opportunities in underserved communities throughout Guatemala.

Today, Café con Causa continues that mission independently. Every cup represents more than exceptional Guatemalan coffee—it represents an investment in students, families, and the future of the communities we serve.
